This variety prevents the increase in obesity and the amount of insulin of blood sugar. This variety is going to be very beneficial for our body. Wheat is a major crop of the Rabi season. Along with this, it is a very nutritional meal as a food. Majority of people consume it as part of their diet. Majority of people eat chapatis made up of wheat flour. Along with this, situated in Ludhiana, the Plant Breeding Genetics Department of the Punjab Agricultural University has created a new variety of wheat, which prevents the increase in obesity and amount of insulin level in blood sugar. For the same reason, this variety will be proven as very beneficial for health. This rabi season, the seeds of this variety will be provided for cultivation. Along with this training will also be provided for the cultivation of these seeds.

But recently, after doing a research of 8 to 10 years, the agricultural scientists of the Plant Breeding Genetics Department of the Punjab Agricultural University have prepared the PBW RS1 variety, and doctors will also not stop you from consuming that. Because this new variety of wheat is helpful in controlling obesity.

What are the benefits of PBW RS1 wheat 

This new variety of wheat developed by agricultural scientists has multiple benefits which are beneficial for our health. The top five improved wheat varieties developed by Indian agricultural scientists are Shriram 303 wheat variety, GW 322 variety, Pusa Tejas 8759 variety, Shri Ram Super 111 wheat, and HI 8498 variety capable of giving production up to 81 quintals per hectare. Also, all these varieties become ripe in 100 to 120 days. To get more profit from wheat cultivation, farmers should choose improved varieties of wheat so that farmers can harvest maximum produce in less time and sell it in the market.

 Besides, agricultural scientists also prepare new varieties of crops as per time. In this series, today we have brought information about the top five improved varieties of wheat developed by Indian agricultural scientists for the farmers of the country, which ripens in 100 to 120 days. Also, these varieties give a yield of 81 quintals per hectare. They are the Shriram 303 wheat variety, GW 322 variety, Pusa Tejas 8759 variety, Shriram Super 111 wheat, and HI 8498 variety.

HI 8498 Variety


HI 8498 variety of wheat has been developed by the scientists of Jabalpur Agricultural University. With this, farmers can achieve production up to 77 quintals per hectare. Also, this variety becomes fully ripened in 125-130 days.

Shriram 303 Variety of wheat


This variety of wheat gets ripe in the field in a time interval of 156 days. Its average yield is about 81.2 quintals per hectare to the farmers. This Shriram 303 wheat variety is a yellow, brown, and black rust-resistant variety.


GW 332 Variety


This variety of wheat ripens only under 3-4 irrigations. Indian farmers can get a yield of about 60-65 quintals from GW 322 varieties of wheat. The entire crop of this variety gets fully ripe in about 115-125 days.

Pusa Tejas 8759 Varitey


Pusa Tejas' variety of wheat ripens in a time interval of 110 to 115 days. Let us tell you that this variety of wheat has been developed at the Agricultural University of Jabalpur. With this, farmers can get a yield of about 70 quintals per hectare.



Shri Ram Super 111 Wheat


This improved variety of wheat is extremely beneficial for the farmers because this variety can be easily produced even on barren land. Farmers can get a yield of about 80 quintals per hectare from Shriram Super 111 wheat. Also, with this variety, farmers can get a yield of up to 30 quintals/hectare on barren land. This variety of wheat ripens within 105 days.

Karan Vandana was sown in various areas last year. This variety was released and notified in the year 2019. Karan Vandana (DBW 187) is the latest wheat variety sown in the irrigated weather in the north eastern plains of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and West Bengal.


As we all know, this season of Ravi is going on. Farmers are very busy sowing their crops. Especially now farmers are sowing wheat intensely. Actually, it is cheap as well as quality. This variety of wheat is named Karan Vandana. Karan Vandana (DBW 187) is the latest irrigated wheat variety sown in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and North Eastern Classes of West Bengal. In these areas, the production of Karan Vandana (DBW 187) is much higher in the current varieties of wheat such as HD 2967, K 0307, HD 2733, K 1006 and DBW 39.


What is the characteristic of wheat Vandana variety of wheat

Karan Vandana was sown in various regions of the country last year. This variety was released and notified in the year 2019. Karan Vandana (DBW 187) is the latest wheat variety sown in irrigated weather in the north eastern plains of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and West Bengal. It has great immunity for important diseases like leaf scorching and unhealthy conditions. Flowers start coming in Karan Vandana after 77 days of sowing. Also, after 120 days the crop is cooked and ready.


This variety provides production up to 75 quintals per hectare

For your information,  its production is about 75 quintals per hectare and average production is about 63.1 quintals. Generally, the amount of protein in wheat is 10 to 12 percent and the amount of iron is 30 to 40 percent. However, more than 12 percent protein and more than 42 percent iron quantity have been found in this variety.


This variety has the ability to fight various diseases

Normally, a disease called 'blast' is seen more in paddy. A few years ago the disease was seen in a wheat crop in Bangladesh. Since then, keeping this challenge temporary, this variety of wheat has been mainly prepared according to the circumstances of the Northeast. Research work started to prepare it, as a result of which 'Karan Vandana' was prepared. These current varieties produce more production than HD-2733, K-1006, DBW-39, HD-2967 and K-0307, which are mostly sown.


50% percent grant is being provided on this variety of wheat

This variety of wheat is getting 50 percent grant. Its price in the market is Rs 42 per kg. If you buy it from the block on a grant basis, it costs Rs 22 per kg. The price of a bag is Rs 880. About 50 percent grant is being received on this. Also, it is said that the first platoon of this wheat should be done after 22 days of sowing. This wheat is cooked and ready in 120 days time.
