This time the central government will purchase mustard on MSP. The government has made complete preparations for this. Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda has given this information on Wednesday. This time there has been a great yield of mustard in India, on which Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda has thanked the farmers.

The Agriculture Minister says that this year the farmers have produced a large amount of mustard. For this, all the farmers deserve congratulations. Munda said that he has asked the concerned departments to buy mustard at the minimum support price (MSP). So that farmers do not face any difficulty in selling produce and they can get proper amount of produce.

Mustard will be purchased at MSP

In a briefing to the media, Munda further told that the government has prepared to purchase mustard under the Price Support Scheme (PSS) during the marketing season of Rabi crops. He said, "The interest of farmers for the government is paramount. If the price of mustard goes below the minimum support price (MSP), the government will buy mustard from the farmers on MSP. He said that necessary arrangements have also been made for this."

Instructed to complete all the preparations for the purchase

He said that central nodal agencies have already been instructed to be prepared for the purchase of mustard under PSS for the Rabi marketing season (RMS), so that farmers do not face any difficulty. He said, "Purchase approval under PSS from the states of Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Assam during Rabi marketing season-2023 was 28.24 LMT mustard."

Farmers will not have to face more problems

All mustard producing states have also been informed for RMS-2024, that if the current market price of mustard in the state is less than the notified MSP, then send a proposal for purchase of mustard under PSS in time. He said that the mustard MSP for RMS-2024 is Rs 5,650 per quintal. He said that it is the effort of the government that farmers can get the right price for their produce and do not have any problem in selling their products.

The Haryana government is also purchasing moong, oil seeds, millet and other food grains along with wheat and paddy by 367 markets. At present, maize, millet, cotton, sunflower, moong, groundnuts, arhar, urad, sesame, mustard, barley, grams and paddy are being bought in Haryana at MSP. Haryana has become the first state to buy 14 food grains at minimum support price ( MSP). From the State government side, the government is also purchasing moong, oil seeds, millet and other food grains along with wheat and paddy by 367 markets. At present, purchase of maize, millet, cotton, sunflower, moong, groundnuts, arhar, urad and sesame is being made on MSP. For your kind information, let you know that most states purchase only famous crops like wheat, paddy, cotton and sugarcane on MSP. But Haryana is the first state to purchase 14 crops on MSP. 

Compensation will be given at crop failure 

The Khattar government also talked about providing compensation to the farmers for their failed crops, which will directly be given in their accounts. State government took this step for the damaged crops of farmers due to excessive rain. He said, the state government is taking assessment of loss to farmers. Under this assessment, the government will transfer the compensation amount for the damaged crops to farmers directly in their accounts.

The Haryana government is making financial condition of farmers better

The Haryana government is making every possible effort in making farmers financially and socially stable. The state government is also putting up multiple schemes for this. A few of these schemes include credit card scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, dairy entrepreneurship development scheme ( DEDS), kisan tractor Yojna, Kisan Mitra Yojna, agricultural flight scheme, Pashu Kisan credit card scheme. Let us tell you that from these schemes, farmers are also getting other benefits other than grants.

Benefits to farmers from Meri Fasal- Mera Byora

The State government has issued this scheme on 5 July 2019. With the help of this scheme, farmers can upload complete details of their crops online on the internet. Along with this, farmers will also be able to upload the details of any damage caused to their crops. 

 Under the Agri Stack Scheme, digital survey of standing crops in 93 thousand measles in the district is to be done, which has been done of 13 thousand measles. This will facilitate easy compensation by the insurance company or the government for the crop damaged by the disaster. Through the digital survey, it will be known which crop the farmer has sown in his field.

This survey shows which crop the farmer has grown in his field. The records from the digital crop survey under the Agri Stack project will be safe online with the Agriculture Department and the government for real time survey of crops grown in the fields.

The Government is conducting surveys under the scheme

Compensation will be easily received by the insurance company or government for the crop damaged by the disaster. The government is conducting a survey under the Agri Stack scheme to accurately assess the production from sowing to production.

 Now the Digital Crop Survey being conducted under this scheme will be able to know which crop the farmer has sown in his field. The government and the insurance company will compensate the crop ruined by the disaster by accurately assessing the loss of the crop and easily compensating for the loss.
