The top five improved wheat varieties developed by Indian agricultural scientists are Shriram 303 wheat variety, GW 322 variety, Pusa Tejas 8759 variety, Shri Ram Super 111 wheat, and HI 8498 variety capable of giving production up to 81 quintals per hectare. Also, all these varieties become ripe in 100 to 120 days. To get more profit from wheat cultivation, farmers should choose improved varieties of wheat so that farmers can harvest maximum produce in less time and sell it in the market.

In this series, today we have brought information about the top five improved varieties of wheat developed by Indian agricultural scientists for the farmers of the country, which ripens in 100 to 120 days. Also, these varieties give a yield of 81 quintals per hectare. They are the Shriram 303 wheat variety, GW 322 variety, Pusa Tejas 8759 variety, Shriram Super 111 wheat, and HI 8498 variety.

The top five improved varieties of wheat are as follows

HI 8498 Variety

HI 8498 variety of wheat has been developed by the scientists of Jabalpur Agricultural University. With this, farmers can achieve production up to 77 quintals per hectare. Also, this variety becomes fully ripened in 125-130 days.

Shriram 303 Variety of wheat

This variety of wheat gets ripe in the field in a time interval of 156 days. Its average yield is about 81.2 quintals per hectare to the farmers. This Shriram 303 wheat variety is a yellow, brown, and black rust-resistant variety.

GW 332 Variety

This variety of wheat ripens only under 3-4 irrigations. Indian farmers can get a yield of about 60-65 quintals from GW 322 varieties of wheat. The entire crop of this variety gets fully ripe in about 115-125 days.

Pusa Tejas 8759 Varitey

Pusa Tejas' variety of wheat ripens in a time interval of 110 to 115 days. Let us tell you that this variety of wheat has been developed at the Agricultural University of Jabalpur. With this, farmers can get a yield of about 70 quintals per hectare.

Shri Ram Super 111 Wheat

This improved variety of wheat is extremely beneficial for the farmers because this variety can be easily produced even on barren land. Farmers can get a yield of about 80 quintals per hectare from Shriram Super 111 wheat. Also, with this variety, farmers can get a yield of up to 30 quintals/hectare on barren land. This variety of wheat ripens within 105 days.

The successful farmer we are talking about is Jitendra Singh, a young farmer from Mahua village of Sarsaul block of Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He has been cultivating improved varieties of bitter gourd in his field for the last 4 years. 

According to farmer Jitendra Singh, earlier the farmers of his area are not able to protect and defend their crops due to stray and wild animals. Because, whatever crops the farmers cultivated in their fields, animals used to eat them. In such a situation, young farmer Jintendra Singh thought of cultivating bitter gourd in his field. Because, bitter gourd is very bitter to eat, due to which animals do not eat it.

To get good profits from Bitter Gourd Cultivation, farmers should cultivate it in Zaid and Kharif seasons. Also, sandy loam or loamy soil is considered suitable for its cultivation.

Farmers can do the sowing of Bitter Gourd in two easy ways. Firstly, farmers can sow bitter gourd directly through seeds and secondly through the nursery method. If you cultivate bitter gourd (Karele ki kheti) on the land on the banks of rivers, then you can get good yield of bitter gourd.

To get good yield from bitter gourd cultivation, farmers should plant improved varieties of bitter gourd in their fields. Although, different varieties of bitter gourd are available in the market. But, today we will tell about some special varieties, such as - Hisar Selection, Coimbatore Clove, Arka Harit, Pusa Hybrid-2, Pusa Aushadhi, Pusa Do Moushim, Punjab Bitter Gourd-1, Punjab-14, Solan Green and Solan White. , Priya Ko-1, SDU-1, Kalyanpur Sona, Pusa Shankar-1, Kalyanpur Perennial, Kashi Suphal, Kashi Urvashi Pusa Special etc. are the improved varieties of bitter gourd.

By which method is the farmer cultivating bitter gourd?

Young farmer Jitendra Singh cultivates bitter gourd in his field using 'scaffolding method'. Due to this they get much higher production. The bitter gourd plant is made a scaffold and mounted on it, due to which the vine continues to grow and spreads on the wires of the scaffold. He told that he used wire and wood or bamboo to make scaffolding in the field. This scaffold is quite high. One can pass through it very easily during harvesting. The more the bitter gourd vines spread, the greater the yield. They can produce up to 50 quintals of produce from one bigha of land. He says that making scaffolding neither causes rot in the bitter gourd plant nor does it harm the vines.

How much income can be earned from bitter gourd cultivation?

To get good production from bitter gourd cultivation, the farmer should cultivate its improved varieties. As mentioned above, young farmer Jitendra Singh earlier used to cultivate pumpkin, gourd and chilli in his field, which was badly damaged by stray animals. Therefore he has decided to cultivate bitter gourd. At the same time, today farmer Jitendra is cultivating bitter gourd in 15 acres and is earning huge profits. According to Jitendra, his bitter gourd is generally easily sold at the price of Rs 20 to Rs 25 per kg. Also, many times bitter gourd is sold for Rs 30 per kg. Most of the traders buy bitter gourd from the farm itself. 

He also told that in one acre of field, seeds, fertilizers, preparation of scaffolding along with other works cost Rs 40 thousand. At the same time, they can easily earn an income of Rs 1.5 lakh from this. Jitendra Singh does farming in about 15 acres. In such a situation, if the calculations are done, then he earns about Rs 15-20 lakh from bitter gourd cultivation in one season.

For your information, let us tell you that the procurement of paddy will start from November 1 in various districts including Rae Bareli, Unnao, Chitrakoot and Kanpur in the Eastern Zone. Which will continue till 28th February next year. Also, so far 1 lakh 66 thousand 645 farmers have registered in the entire state for selling paddy. Procurement of paddy at minimum support price has started in Uttar Pradesh. The government has made concrete arrangements at the paddy purchasing centre. However, very few farmers are coming to the purchase center to sell paddy. Now in such a situation it is being said that after the next one week there will be intensity in the procurement of paddy. Because this time due to late arrival of monsoon, farmers had started planting paddy late. In fact, till now the paddy crop has not been completely ripe in many areas. At the same time, farmers in western Uttar Pradesh were successful in early planting of paddy. Now in such a situation they are reaching the purchasing centers to sell paddy.

4000 purchasing centers have been established across the state for paddy procurement.

Also, complete preparations have been made by the administration to ensure that the farmers do not face any kind of problem at the purchasing centers. According to the government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, two categories of paddy will be purchased from farmers for the crop season 2023-24. This includes ‘common’ and ‘grade A’ paddy. The special thing is that the MSP of 'Dhan Common' has been fixed at Rs 2183 per quintal. Whereas, ‘Grade A’ will be purchased at the rate of Rs 2203 per quintal. The special thing is that 4000 purchasing centers have been created in the entire state to purchase paddy.

In these districts, paddy will be purchased at MSP from October 1 to January 31.

He has told that the exported potatoes were purchased from FPO of Aligarh and packed in cold storage. 29 metric tons of potatoes will reach Guyana via sea route.

Yogi government is trying to double the income of farmers

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is trying to double farmers' income by eliminating middlemen. In this series, farmers are being made exporters through FPO. Yogi government in the state is focusing on encouraging FPOs and farmer groups towards international trade. Farmers should grow good incomes by exporting crops to foreign countries. Farmers should not depend only on traditional crops.

Yogi government is going to run a campaign for the safety of destitute animals roaming in the state. For this, instructions have been issued to the officers of all the districts. In Uttar Pradesh, there is often politics regarding animals roaming on the roads. In such a situation, the state government is taking strict action regarding the cows roaming freely on the roads. The Uttar Pradesh government has instructed all the district officers of the state to take the destitute cattle roaming on the streets to cow shelters. Livestock and Milk Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dharampal Singh has said that by running this campaign in the state, we are working to protect the destitute cattle as well as taking them to cow shelters. Guidelines have also been given to the officials for this. This scheme has been issued by the state government for cow conservation.

Campaign time for cow protection

Uttar Pradesh's Livestock and Milk Development Minister Dharampal Singh says that the first phase of this scheme will be ensured in Bareilly, Jhansi, and Gorakhpur divisions from September 10 to September 25. Work will be done to transport the cows wandering on the roads to the cow shelter. Along with this, proper arrangements will also be made for their food and drink.

Legal action will be taken against those who abandon animals

Uttar Pradesh's Livestock Minister Dharampal Singh has requested the farmers and cattle herders of these districts not to leave any animal destitute on the roads. If any person is found doing this, legal action can be taken against him. He has instructed the district officials to identify those people who are leaving animals on the empty roads. Also, this campaign should be promoted in a phased manner in the entire state. The government will build cow shelters in all the districts with the help of local administration, MNREGA, and Panchayati Raj Department and the capacity of the already existing cow shelters will also be expanded.

Ear tagging of cattle will be done

Livestock and Dairy Development Minister Dharampal Singh has said that ear tagging of all the animals in rural areas will be done. With its help, care and monitoring of cattle will become much easier. Apart from this, the government will also make arrangements for adequate fodder, medicines, and vaccination for animals for protection from medicinal and infectious diseases in flood-affected districts.

According to UP Gopalak Yojana, unemployed youth of the state will get loan facility of up to Rs 9 lakh to open a dairy farm. The benefit of this government scheme will be available to those people who have at least 5 milch animals. A unique scheme has been started by the Uttar Pradesh government for unemployed youth, so that the youth of the state can get employment opportunities. Also, he should be able to make positive improvements in his financial condition. Let us tell you that Yogi government has started Gopalak Yojana for the people of the state. Under this scheme, the youth of the state can open their own dairy farms. For this work, the state government will provide loan facility up to Rs 9 lakh to the youth. But, this scheme of the government is not for all the youth.

Farmers from different divisions came together to share their experiences and knowledge. On the inaugural day, farmers from six divisions gathered to discuss the cultivation and consumption of millets. Farmers from five divisions participated on the second day. Also, on the last day, farmers from seven divisions participated in the program. Altogether, fifty progressive farmers from each division were part of the event. 

What is the main objective of Shri Anna Mahotsav

The main objective of Shri Anna Mahotsav is to create awareness among both the general public and farmers about the cultivation and consumption of millets within the state. It is a fact that millets are making their own place across the world for their many health benefits and their role in sustainable agriculture. To give more promotion to millets, around 40 stalls of various millets-based food products were set up during the event. This gave the attendees an opportunity to taste and appreciate a variety of dishes made from millets.

There is a possibility of rain in some districts of western Uttar Pradesh in the next one or two days. Now there are some special things for the farmers, which need special attention . What to do to prevent plant diseases

To save the crop, it is most necessary to monitor the cultivation daily. If any disease is seen in the leaf of the plant, immediately uproot it and bury it inside the ground. If more diseases are noticed, consult a specialist immediately and for precaution, spray a fungicide Carbendazim Manacuzeb or Metalaxyl And can also spray mancozeb.

Do not forget to do this work

If there is a possibility of rain in your area, do not irrigate. If there is too much moisture in the field, vegetable crops can be majorly damaged. At the same time, a lot of diseases can occur. Spraying germs, insecticides or weedicides is best when the sun is open . If there is fog and cloudy sky and there is a possibility of rain, avoid pesticide spraying as well.

If the crop has flowered, avoid the use of any kind of chemical pesticides. Any crop is flowering . Do not use chemical sprays there. The growth of the flower will stop considerably. Flowers will fall off, preventing grains and fruit formation . In such a situation, use natural methods, smoke, moisture, neem oil and ash of tubers . Apart from this, bees have been kept in the field and if they come there, do not spray chemicals during the day or else they will die. Use at the time the bees return to the hives in the evening .  

The Yogi government may soon give a gift to the farmers of Uttar Pradesh. The state government may increase the price of sugarcane in the coming days. Keeping in mind the interest of farmers, the UP government may soon announce the prices of sugarcane. After implementing this decision, farmer brothers will get a much higher price of sugarcane.

According to sources, the government may increase the prices of sugarcane by Rs 15 to Rs 25 in the next few days. Besides, the sugarcane minister of the state has also given such indications in his talks. However, by how much will the increase be made? There is no confirmation of this at present.

 Sugarcane farmers are continuously demanding price increase

As we all know, there is a continuous demand from farmers to increase the SAP of sugarcane. However, its price has increased in the state over the years. In Uttar Pradesh, the last time before the 2022 assembly elections, the sugarcane price was increased to Rs 350 and Rs 360 per quintal. In the meeting of the State Consulted Sugarcane Pricing Recommendation Committee held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, sugarcane farmers demanded a price increase due to the increasing cost of production.

Sugarcane price will be announced as soon as possible

At the same time, representatives of the Sugar Mill Association have raised many problems and demanded to keep the prices unchanged. After hearing everything, the Chief Secretary said that the sugarcane price would be declared as soon as possible. The related proposal will soon be placed before the Cabinet for approval. RLD and SP are continuously demanding from the government to increase the sugarcane price. According to many reports, the government may also relieve sugar mills. To reduce the expenses incurred due to the increase in sugarcane prices, the government can provide a facility of one to two rupees in transportation freight to the mills.

Lakhs of farmers in the state will benefit from the new announcements of the government. In these schemes, there has been mention of providing direct economic benefits to the farmers ranging from crops and irrigation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government has presented the budget in Uttar Pradesh. Some big gifts have been provided to the farmers in this budget. 

Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government, Suresh Khanna has announced it while presenting the budget. These new announcements of the government will benefit lakhs of farmers in the state. In these schemes, there is mention of irrigation of crops and providing direct economic benefits to the farmers. 

These facilities were announced in the UP budget 

The Uttar Pradesh government has lifted the ban on new private tube well connections in the dark zone. About one lakh farmers will benefit from this decision of the Uttar Pradesh government. Along with this, the price of early varieties of sugarcane has been increased from Rs 350 to Rs 370 for the crushing season 2023-2024. The price of common variety sugarcane has been increased from Rs 340 to Rs 360. Along with this, the price of unsuitable varieties of sugarcane has been increased from Rs 335 to Rs 355. Along with this, seasonal tariff benefits and the facility of temporary electrical connectors have also been provided for the irrigation of Rabi crops in the Bundelkhand area.

Yogi government increased the pension of women farmers 

In the budget, the Uttar Pradesh government has also provided a lot of benefits to those women farmers whose husbands have died. Earlier, ₹500 per month was being provided by the government as a destitute women's pension. But, now it has been increased to a 3thousand rupees. Under the Women Farmer Empowerment Project, these women will also be provided technical support by forming 200 producer groups.
