A grant of 22303 crores in order to control the price of fertilisers

Farmers will get fertilisers at the rate of 1350 rupees in rabi season as usual. The Indian government has also announced a grant of 22303 crore rupees for this. Actually, this information was given by the central minister of India, Anurag Thakur in a cabinet meeting to the media. With the sowing of rabi crops, it is a big challenge for farmers to fulfil the needs of fertilisers. 

Farmers face different issues due to the increase in the rate of fertilisers. But, on this Dussehra, the Indian government has stopped the inflation on fertiliser prices as a gift to the farmers. Farmers will get fertilisers this rabi season at the usual rate of 1350 per bag.The Indian government has also announced a grant of 22303 crore rupees for this. This information was given by the central minister of India, Anurag Thakur in a cabinet meeting to the media. 

The grant of 22303 rupees 

The Indian government has issued a subsidy of 22303 crore rupees to control the price of fertilisers in this rabi season to provide sympathy to farmers. After this announcement from the Indian government, farmers will get the fertilisers this rabi season at the previous rate of 1350 rupees per bag. What is the price right now 

In every season, some ups and downs are always seen in the prices of fertilisers. But, this rabi season the Indian government has gifted farmers with a big budget to maintain the balance in price of fertilisers. In a press conference, Cabinet minister Anurag Thakur said that in the upcoming season of rabi crops the base of grant will be nitrogen- 47.2 per kg, phosphorus- 20.42 rupees per kg, potash- 2.38 per kg, sulphur- 1.89 rupees per kg. Because of this rule of the government, farmers have been provided a grant of 22303 crore rupees.

What will be the price of each bag 

Farmers buy fertiliser according to each bag, and they also need  to pay for it on that basis. According to the cabinet minister, currently Ammonium phosphate (DAP) will be provided at previous rates that is 1350 rupees per bag. Along with this, nitrogen phosphorus and potassium (NPK) will be provided at a rate of 1470 per bag. According to the government, this step has been taken to provide farmers a big relief.

Every person in the country knows the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), which manufactures chemical fertilizers for Indian farmers for their agriculture. 


At the same time, this chemical fertilizer manufacturing company of the cooperative sector has again got the first position in the list of the top 300 cooperative organizations of the world. The ranking is based on the ratio of turnover to gross domestic product (GDP) per capita.


In the list of the top 300 cooperative institutions of the world based on this ratio, IFFCO is ranked world no. 1 and has emerged as a cooperative institution. This shows that IFFCO is making a significant contribution to the GDP and economic growth of the nation.

IFFCO has gotten first place on which list 

International Cooperative Alliance is an organization at the international level. It is a non-government cooperative organization, which was established in the year 1885.

According to the 2023 edition of the 12th annual World Cooperative Monitor (WCM) report of the same International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), IFFCO's business contribution to the country's GDP and economic development has been shown. 

In terms of total turnover, IFFCO has reached 72nd position as compared to its 97th position in the last financial year. IFFCO with its 35,500 member cooperatives, 25,000 PACS and 52,400 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras is a powerful example of prosperity through cooperation moving towards 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Atmanirbhar Agriculture'.

IFFCO has maintained its top position for many years, which is a testament to the unwavering faith in the cooperative principles of IFFCO and its management.

It can also be seen as a symbol of the strong cooperative movement in the country, which has been given impetus by the formation of the Ministry of Cooperation by the Center and the able leadership of Shri Amit Shah Ji, Hon'ble Minister of Home and Cooperation, Government of India. 

The initiatives taken by the Ministry have created a conducive environment and helped the cooperative movement to flourish in India.
