The bugle of agricultural fair has been rung at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University from 17th to 19th October. The three-day All India Farmers Fair will be organized as Krishi Kumbh. In the fair, every problem of the farmers will be solved and new information will be provided. The main attraction center of the fair will be the animal exhibition. Experts will give information to farmers

Farmer seminars will be organized every day in the fair, in which agricultural scientists will give information about new research to the farmers. Agricultural experts will give information about crop diseases and their treatment. Farmers will be told how to manage crops in adverse weather so that production is not affected. You will be happy to know that All India Farmers Fair and Agro Industry Exhibition will be organized in the main campus of the University from 17-19 October 2023.

Main attraction and place of the fair

Many programs will be organized in the fair, animal exhibition, live demonstration of drones, cultural programs for entertainment, fair closing and prize distribution ceremony, agricultural industry exhibition, cultural programs for entertainment etc. All India Farmers Fair and Agro Industry Exhibition will be organized in the main campus of the university. Which is situated in Sivaya Modipuram on Delhi-Dehradun National Highway No. 58, about 56 km from Delhi and about 10 km from Meerut city.

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (Pusa Institute) is going to organize a grand event of Krishi Vigyan Mela from 28 February to 1 March 2024. This time the fair is being organized based on the theme 'Farmers Prosperous with Agricultural Entrepreneurship'.

Giving information about the fair, Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR) said that this time the 3-day Pusa Agricultural Science Fair will be held from 28 February to 1 March. Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda will inaugurate the Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela as the chief guest. The theme of the fair this year is 'Farmers Prospering through Agri-Entrepreneurship'. He further said that the main attraction of the fair will be the seeds of Pusa Basmati varieties to the farmers. Along with this, many types of stalls will also be set up in the fair.

Which varieties of which crops will farmers get sufficient seeds?

Dr. Ashok Kumar said that quality seeds of improved varieties of various crops developed by Pusa Institute are given to the farmers every year. This year, seeds of many of these newly developed varieties of paddy like Pusa Basmati 112, Pusa Basmati 1509, Pusa Basmati 1718, Pusa Basmati 1847, Pusa Basmati 1850, Pusa Basmati 1886, Pusa Basmati 1728, and Pusa Basmati 1692 will be made available to the farmers in sufficient quantity.

Last year, due to less quantity of seeds in Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela, seeds of basmati paddy varieties were made available in limited quantity. This farmers faced a lot of problems. But this time Pusa Institute has made strong arrangements. Dr. Ashok Kumar assured that this time (Krishi Vigyan Mela 2024) seeds of all varieties will be given to the farmers in sufficient quantity.

This time arrangements for online booking have also been made available by Pusa Institute. Go to the official website www.iari.res.in the farmers institute and make your booking. Through this, any farmer can book any quantity of seeds of any variety as per his wish. During online booking, you can also pay through online medium. On payment, you will be provided with its receipt number. If you go to the fair with this, then you will not need to stand in line anywhere. You can get your seeds by going directly to the counter.
