The government is running a variety of projects aimed at improving the economic conditions of farmers, as well as crop growth and sale. The basic goal of these projects is to empower the farmer. The schemes being run for the empowerment of farmers are as follows:

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

The government provides financial help of Rs 6,000 to farmer brothers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana each year. Under this system, farmers receive Rs 2,000 in their accounts every four months.

Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme

This strategy serves as a security blanket for farmers. The policy insures Rabi and Kharif crops. Rabi crops require a 1.5 percent premium, whereas Kharif crops require a 2% premium. Farmers might get compensation under the Bhai Scheme if they suffer significant losses.

Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme

The government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana to improve crop irrigation. The plan encourages farms to use drip and sprinkler irrigation systems. Farmers receive subsidies of up to 90%.

Kisan Credit Card

Farmer brothers require money for farming tasks. In such cases, the Kisan Credit Card Scheme is being implemented for them, allowing farmer brothers to obtain loans ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 3 lakh at moderate interest rates. Farmers receive loans of up to Rs 1,50,000 with no commitment. Aside from these programmes, Soil Health Card, National Food Security Mission, Agricultural Infrastructure Fund, e-NAM, and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana are being implemented.

Farmers will get fertilisers at the rate of 1350 rupees in rabi season as usual. The Indian government has also announced a grant of 22303 crore rupees for this. Actually, this information was given by the central minister of India, Anurag Thakur in a cabinet meeting to the media. With the sowing of rabi crops, it is a big challenge for farmers to fulfil the needs of fertilisers. 

Farmers face different issues due to the increase in the rate of fertilisers. But, on this Dussehra, the Indian government has stopped the inflation on fertiliser prices as a gift to the farmers. Farmers will get fertilisers this rabi season at the usual rate of 1350 per bag.The Indian government has also announced a grant of 22303 crore rupees for this. The grant of 22303 rupees 

The Indian government has issued a subsidy of 22303 crore rupees to control the price of fertilisers in this rabi season to provide sympathy to farmers. After this announcement from the Indian government, farmers will get the fertilisers this rabi season at the previous rate of 1350 rupees per bag. What is the price right now 

In every season, some ups and downs are always seen in the prices of fertilisers. But, this rabi season the Indian government has gifted farmers with a big budget to maintain the balance in price of fertilisers. In a press conference, Cabinet minister Anurag Thakur said that in the upcoming season of rabi crops the base of grant will be nitrogen- 47.2 per kg, phosphorus- 20.42 rupees per kg, potash- 2.38 per kg, sulphur- 1.89 rupees per kg. Because of this rule of the government, farmers have been provided a grant of 22303 crore rupees.

What will be the price of each bag 

Farmers buy fertiliser according to each bag, and they also need  to pay for it on that basis. According to the cabinet minister, currently Ammonium phosphate (DAP) will be provided at previous rates that is 1350 rupees per bag. Along with this, nitrogen phosphorus and potassium (NPK) will be provided at a rate of 1470 per bag. According to the government, this step has been taken to provide farmers a big relief.

It is no less than a challenge for farmers to get good quality seeds for farming. Because it becomes a bit difficult due to black marketing and fake seeds. But, through a government scheme, farmers can get the best quality seeds at a lower price. For better crops and better production, farmers need good quality seeds. However, due to a lack of information, farmers are generally not able to choose the right seeds, due to which they have to face huge losses. The prevalence of these fake seeds has increased significantly in the market. 

It is very difficult to identify the difference between fake and genuine seeds, due to which farmers are not able to recognize the difference and later their crops get destroyed. Considering this problem of farmers, the government has taken a big step. To deal with the problem, the government has come up with Beej Gram Yojana. Under this scheme, high-quality seeds are provided to the farmers at low prices.

What is Beej Gram Yojana?

For your information, let us tell you that this is a scheme run by the Centre, which has been started especially for farmers. This scheme was started in 2014-15. Under the scheme, farmers are also given training in harvesting, sowing, and other work. So that they can earn more profits. The main objective of this scheme is to end the black marketing of seeds so that good quality seeds can be available to the farmers on time. Under the scheme, best quality seeds are provided to the farmers. But, they are also told how they can grow them themselves. So that farmers do not have to depend on anyone.
