 As you know, currently the paddy harvesting season is going on. Every year the governments of Punjab and Haryana talk about imposing strictness on farmers and stopping them from burning stubble. But, in reality, farmers are continuously busy burning stubble. For this reason, due to the pollution being spread due to stubble burning, the AQI i.e. Air Quality Index of Delhi-NCR is continuously increasing towards dangerous levels. Like previous years, the threat of stubble has started increasing in the states of Punjab and Haryana this year too. Let us tell you that despite the strictness of the governments of both the states, farmers are seen burning stubble in the open fields. The smoke rising due to stubble burning is proving fatal for the breathing of the people of Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR. The monitoring done by CPCB in Delhi-NCR has reported an average AQI of 263. Because of this, people are at risk of serious diseases.

Stubble is being continuously set on fire in the states of Punjab and Haryana. As the paddy harvesting season is progressing, the cases of stubble burning are also increasing continuously. Due to the smoke and pollution generated by stubble burning, the AQI of many cities of Haryana including Delhi-NCR has reached very poor levels.

Stubble is being burnt without fear in Punjab

Even though it is being claimed that the cases of stubble burning are decreasing in the state of Punjab, the process of openly burning stubble is also continuing. In Derabassi around Chandigarh, stubble was seen burning openly on the side of the highway. Today, if you pass through any national highway in Punjab and Haryana, you will see burnt-black fields on the side of the road. Where the stubble will be seen completely reduced to ashes, farmers cleverly set fire to the stubble in their fields and then leave their fields, so that no legal action can be taken against them.

In Haryana, conscious farmers are managing stubble properly.

For your information, let us tell you that there are farmers who believe in managing the stubble instead of burning it. In Naggal village of Panchkula, farmers were seen using the stubble as fertilizer in the fields and directly sowing wheat seeds through a Super Seeder machine. These farmers say that the farmers who can buy expensive machines are the ones who manage the stubble. But, small and marginal farmers have no option other than burning the stubble.

What complaints do farmers have against the government?

In Mankaiya village of Panchkula, some farmers are making heaps of stubble after traditionally harvesting the paddy crop. But, they also complain that instead of employing laborers, they are managing the stubble to burn it. But, they have neither received any assistance nor been given any kind of grant from the government. They have to manage the stubble at their own expense.

Cases have decreased significantly from before

There has been a decline in the cases of stubble burning in Punjab this year as compared to last year. So far, incidents of stubble burning have been reported at 1764 places in the state. These figures are the lowest in the last 2 years. In the same period, 4327 cases were registered so far in 2021 and 3114 cases in 2022. If we talk about Haryana state, 714 cases of stubble burning have been reported this season. However, if compared to last year, 893 cases had been reported so far last year. If the government of Haryana-Punjab states makes the farmers fully aware and provides them resources, then the challenge of stubble can be rid of. Let us tell you that the recorded AQI of some cities of Haryana is frightening. 255 air quality index was recorded in Karnal-243, Rohtak-182, Jind-155, Faridabad-322, Bahadurgarh-284, Kaithal-269, Kurukshetra-256 and Gurugram.

All those farmers who have been waiting for  the 15th instalment of Prime minister Kisan Samma Nidhi, the wait is now over. PM Narendra Modi has transferred the grant money to their accounts. More than 8 crore farmers have been provided benefits under this scheme. Around 18 crores of money has been transferred under this scheme. Pradhan Mantri Modi has transferred this installment by pressing a button from Khunti in Jharkhand. The main aim of this scheme is to provide financial aid to farmers. Farmers are provided this aid to fulfil their needs of agriculture and other sudden emergencies.

In Bihar, the luck of the farmers will be decided through a lottery. Under the Agricultural Machinery scheme, farmers would have to pass through the process of lottery to buy agricultural machinery. Due to the large population of applying candidates for this scheme, it has been decided. To provide machinery to thousands of farmers, the government is circulating the Agricultural Machinery scheme, in which Machinery is being provided to farmers on the basis of a grant. Last day to apply for these schemes has finished. However, thousands of farmers have already applied to get the benefits of this scheme. Looking at the high population of farmers applying for the scheme, the state government has decided to release the permit on the basis of a lottery. The Agricultural Director has also released a letter for this. According to the letter, the lottery process will take place between 27 to 30 november, through which a permit will be released.

Letter of Acceptance will be provided to selected farmers only 

According to media news, district level agricultural mechanisation fair is expected to happen in the first week of December and second week of January. In this situation, applications received will be checked before the fair. Along with this, for the accepted applications, those farmers will be able to take part in the lottery process. After which the selected farmers will be issued an acceptance letter. According to the directions of the Agricultural Director, in the guidance of the District agricultural officer, applicants will be chosen according to aim by an online lottery through the login id of the Deputy Director. This whole process will take place in the presence of the DM or any recognised official preferred at his level. During this, all the BAOs, regional representatives and progressive farmers will also be present.

If  Kisan is not able to take advantage of the scheme, then he should visit the official website of the scheme and see his name in the beneficiary list. Solar Pump Scheme Uttar Pradesh (Solar Pump Scheme UP 2024) has been started by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This scheme has been started mainly in the interest of the farmers of Uttar Pradesh. This is one of the very beneficial schemes for farmers. At present, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased so much that the farmer cannot get profit by applying water to the fields with diesel engines, and just providing water in farming has become a huge expense. This is a very big problem for farmers.

Caution: The Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department and Police have alerted the farmers that some unruly elements are carrying out incidents of fraud by luring them with schemes. In such a situation, farmer brothers need to be careful and alert from fake calls.

Presently farmers have also fallen victim to fake fraud calls. For some time now, many cases of cheating of farmer brothers have come to light. Thugs are committing incidents of fraud on farmers by luring them with government schemes. Some similar incidents have currently come to light from Uttar Pradesh. Where farmers are being tempted to purchase solar pumps in easy installments under PM Kusum Yojana. After this, the Uttar Pradesh Police and Agriculture Directorate alerted the farmers and advised them to avoid such fake phone calls. 

Farmer do not pick up calls from these numbers. 

After the cases of fraud calls came to light, instructions were issued to the Deputy Directors of Agriculture established in all the divisions of the state by the Solar Cell associated with PM Kusum Yojana of the Agriculture Department. In the instructions issued by Suresh Kumar Singh, nodal officer of PM Kusum Yojana in UP Agriculture Directorate, it has been said that farmers are getting phone calls from some other numbers including 7290912735 and 7037767569. These are the same farmers who have applied for solar pumps under Kusum Yojana.

Farmers should not fall into the trap of thugs. 

The caller, posing as an employee of the Agriculture Department, asks the farmers to deposit the money for the solar pump in installments. Due to this, the department has asked the officials to make the farmers aware of this scheme and tell them that there is an online process to confirm the token before the farmers select the solar pump. This information is provided to the concerned farmer through SMS on the registered mobile number. It has also been made clear in the instructions that in this scheme, farmers do not have the option of depositing money in installments. Farmers will have to make a full payment once. In such a situation, farmers should not fall into the trap of swindlers.

Contact the police if you receive a fake call 

The department has given a message to all the Deputy Directors of the Agriculture Department that they should inform the people in the state about this through newspapers and other communication mediums. Along with this, farmers have also been asked to be made aware that if they receive any fraud call, they should contact the police directly, so that such cases can be curbed.

Under PM Kusum Yojana, farmers are given solar pumps whose capacity ranges from 1 horsepower to 10 horsepower. On this, the government provides subsidies of up to 70% to the farmers. Under this, targets have been set for every district to provide solar pumps to the farmers.

The 16th installment of the PM Kisaan Smman Nidhi Yojna will reach farmers soon

There is good news for lakhs of farmers related to the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The date of 16th installment of PM Kisan Yojana has been released.

The 16th installment of the scheme will be released to the farmers this month. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer Rs 2000 to the accounts of lakhs of farmers under the PM-Kisan scheme by the end of this month. For your information, let us know that the date of the next installment has been released on the official website of PM Kisan. 

According to the official website, the money of PM Kisan Yojana will be released in the account of farmers on February 28, 2024.

Which farmers will not get the money from the scheme

It is not that the installment of the scheme will come in the account of all the farmers. The money will come in the account of only those farmers who will get the e-KYC done. 

In fact, getting e-KYC done is very important for the PM Kisan Yojana. If a farmer does not get e-KYC done, then he will not get the benefit of the scheme. In such a situation, farmers who have not got e-KYC done this time, will not be transferred to the 16th installment. 

Let us tell you that the process of e-KYC is very easy. The government has made the process of processing keeping in mind the farmers, so that the farmers can easily do their e-KYC.

How to do e-KYC to take advantage of the scheme?

Farmers can easily do OTP-based e-KYC by visiting the PM Kisan Portal. Apart from this, farmers have also been given the option of biometric-based e-KYC.

The central government provides financial assistance of 6 thousand rupees 

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been started by the central government to provide financial assistance to the farmers. Under this scheme, farmers are given 6 thousand rupees annually. 

This amount is provided in installments of Rs 2-2 thousand, which is sent directly to the farmers' account every four months.
