17% percent declines in domestic sales

According to data made public by M&M LTD, Mahindra & Mahindra has faced a huge decline of 17% percent in December 2023 domestic sales. The company sold 18,028 tractors in India in December 2023. At the same time, domestic sale of 21,640 Mahindra tractors was done in December 2022.

31% percent decline in export sales

Mahindra & Mahindra has seen a decline of 31% percent in export sales of tractors in December 2023. The company has sold 1,110 tractors in December 2023. At the same time, 1,603 tractors were sold outside India in the same month last year.

Economic domestic and export sales

According to the sales report released by the company, Mahindra & Mahindra has seen a 18 percent decline in the total tractors sales in December. The company has sold 19,138 tractors in the month of December 2023. However, 23,243 units were sold in December 2022.

Expectation of increase in demand for tractors

Hemant Sikka, president of the Farm Equipment Sector of Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, has said that in December 2023, Mahindra sold 18,028 tractors in the domestic market. It is a simple matter to reduce excavation activities due to the decline of agricultural works in December. He said that we are likely to increase the demand for tractors. Because, there is an increase in horticulture yield and government support for the agriculture sector. He said, Mahindra & Mahindra has sold 1,110 tractors in the export market.

Escorts Kubota Tractors has released its sales figures for December 2023. According to the data, Escorts Kubota has sold less tractors in December 2023 as compared to December 2022 in domestic and export sales. The company has seen a decline of 17.0% in domestic sales, 31.8% decline in export sales and 18.6% decline in total sales.

According to the sales report released by Escorts Kubota, the company has faced a huge decline of 17.0% in domestic sales of tractors for December 2023. Escorts Kubota sold 4,979 tractors in India in December 2022. At the same time, the total domestic sales of tractors in December 2023 was 4,131 units.

According to data released by the company, Escorts Kubota tractors have faced a decline of 31.8% in export sales. The company has sold a total of 405 tractors outside India in December 2023. But, export sales of 594 units were made in December 2022. Which is more than 2023.

Decline in the sales of tractor

According to a report published in Business Line, the country's top tractor manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra sold 49,336 tractors in October 2023 with a decline of 2 percent. Tractor sales of Escorts Kubota, on the other hand, fell 9 per cent to 12,642 units last month. The best performance in the sale of tractors was in the northern regions. Where they sold the most. Similarly, in the western and eastern regions, sales were good to a large extent due to the subsidy received under the government scheme. However, the sales of tractors in the southern regions were not good.

Out of this, if we talk about maize only, then it was 9 lakh quintals i.e. 65% percent participation. Such an influx of maize had never been recorded in the Kharif season till date. Maize has dominated the soybean crop this time.
